The girls got up and decided to make a yummy breakfast together. Rose (15) cooked pancakes (regular and gluten free), Grace (11) made scrambled eggs and toast, and Beth (13) made the bacon and chopped strawberries for toppings. It was so fun to watch them with together in this way! It wasn't always smooth... One of the girls wanted to tell the rest how to do their cooking. Another got irritated when someone got in her way. The third, in trying to be helpful, turned off too many burners before everything was finished! No, it wasn't perfection like this plate shows, but it was beautiful ❤️ It is so very important to me to help my girls learn to do things on their own. It's equally important to let them figure out how to interact with each other and work as a team. I did make comment when attitudes got too edgy so they could self-correct but beyond that, this was their project from the idea all the way through to completion.
